Long Road Diddley Bow Workshop - Saturday 11.00 am

Our workshops are a fun way to build your own Cigar Box Diddley Bow You need no woodworking skills - if you can draw and cut in a straight (ish) line then you can build your guitar. We are there to help you over the tricky bits and rescue you from any mistakes that you may make.

We supply all the parts (genuine Havana cigar box, hardwood neck, NewTone guitar strings, piezo pickup - everything you need) and all the tools.

At the end of the 40 minutes you have a really great electric/acoustic slide diddley bow.

Friendly, supportive atmosphere, great for men and women, and good company comes as standard.

I just want to emphasise that this workshop is definitely not just for the men! There are are some amazing female cigar box guitar players and this workshop is just as great for women as it is for men.

Normally we have smallish groups of about 8 people which gives us plenty of opportunity for individual support. At the end of the workshop we string your new instrument, tune them up and spend some time with an introduction on how to play slide diddley bow
